How to Change an Assignment's Pacing

1. Navigate and log-in.

2. On your dashboard, click the "Course" link on the class you are working on.

3. Navigate to through the courses, clicking "Open" on the one where the assignment is.

4. This will bring you to the chapters in that course. Click the "Open" button on the chapter the assignment is in.

5. To change the pacing of an assignment, click on the "walking person" icon in the assignment's ribbon.

6. This assignment is currently set to "Student Paced." If you choose "Teacher Assign" this allows teachers to control student interaction with the lesson.

7. When you choose "Student Paced," there are more options for you to change.

8. You can hide assignments from students by choosing "Hidden from Students." Students will not see the assignments until you make it visible.

9. Click "Visible to Students" to make the assignment visible to students.

10. You can also change the "Duration" the assignment is available for the students to take. Currently, the lessons are defaulted to "30 days, 0 hours."

Note: these days will include weekends.

11. Clicking "Available Until" will allow you to choose an end date and time.

12. "Attempts" are the number of tries that students have to take this assignment. Change the default amount to anything you want to set (including zero/0).

13. Clicking "Reset to Publisher Settings" will change all settings to the default settings.

14. Click "OK" to confirm you want to "Reset to Publisher Settings"
